Porsche has quietly opened the order books for what may become the most ferocious road going 911 ever built. The 2026 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is still months away from its official debut, yet customers are already securing build slots. Estimated pricing lands around $490,000 (€450,000), with first deliveries expected in June 2026.

If you know your GT2 RS history, you know this is not a car that lingers in showrooms. The 991 generation GT2 RS debuted in 2017 with production capped at 1,000 units. It quickly became one of the most sought after modern Porsche’s, combining brutal performance with limited numbers that collectors immediately recognized.

The new 992 generation GT2 RS is once again positioned as the most powerful and track focused 911 in the lineup. Early reports suggest output could reach roughly 850 horsepower, a gain of more than 150 hp over the previous car. For reference, the 991 GT2 RS packed a 3.8 liter twin turbo flat six producing 691 hp and 553 lb ft of torque. Power was sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a 7 speed PDK, launching the car from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 211 mph.

Recent prototype sightings add fuel to the fire. Test mules wearing GT3 RS bodywork have been heard emitting a distinct turbo whistle, confirming forced induction is still central to the formula. Some rumors even suggest output could approach 1,000 horsepower, potentially with some level of electrification involved.

Whether it lands at 850 hp or edges closer to four figures, the message is clear. Porsche is doubling down on the widowmaker formula. For enthusiasts, it promises raw, rear wheel drive intensity. For collectors, limited production and early order access may prove just as compelling as the performance figures.

Results That Matter

The Ferrari 458 has long been a favorite among enthusiasts, celebrated for its high-revving, naturally aspirated V8 and timeless Pininfarina design. Its reputation as one of the last pure mid-engine Ferrari experiences has kept interest strong over the years, but recently values have begun climbing sharply. Standard 458 Italia’s now see bids approaching record territory at roughly $380,000 on Cars & Bids, eclipsing previous highs and far outpacing where similar cars traded just a few years ago. Low mileage, clean condition examples are driving premiums, while special editions like the 458 Speciale and Speciale Aperta have consistently commanded significantly higher prices at collector auctions, highlighting the model’s increasing appeal across both enthusiast and investor circles.
